Bardstown, Kentucky

Bardstown, Kentucky the Whiskey Capital of the World

Stacy in the one of the iconic tourist gimmicks.

The Old Talbott Tavern.  One of the original establishments.  Stacy and I had lunch here and it was very good.  If your in town, it's worth seeing and having a bite at.

Below are pictures of the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History

Wild Turkey Rocking Horse

Stacy standing next to a large whiskey crock and me standing next to a actual speak easy bar moved into the museum.

The hatchet hang in a bar and it says "All Nations Welcome but Carry.  Carry Nation (above) was the Bible Thumbing bitch who was instrumental in getting the Prohibition Act Pass. By forcing her and many others moral thinking on others, they made the man pictured below rich.  Al Capone made millions off of the illegal whiskey trade and had countless people murdered and could only be convicted of tax evasion.

A combo-lock cork to keep the kids and the servants out of the booze.

The Civil War Museum

I think the best collection of artifacts from the War of Northern Aggression that I've ever seen.  Most are battlefields and focus only on that one battle.  This museum has a little about every battle and many, many different uniforms from both sides.  There are more than just the Blue and Gray.

A lot of the pictures didn't come out from both the Bourbon and Civil War museums.  There was too much light reflection off of the glass.
